Head of Assortment & Purchasing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and perfect overall strategy for assortment and purchasing with the aim of achieving business goals and monthly plans down to product groups;
  • Elaborate optimal product matrix taking into account target client and product positioning within the existing assortment;
  • Implement purchasing strategy aimed at ensuring and maintaining optimal stocks and meeting target KPI’s;
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for the assortment and procurement;
  • Source and expand product matrix and further develop existing assortment;
  • Execute plans for the assigned category as regards increase of the wording and new article number;
  • Sourcing, presenting and launching new products;
  • Obtaining optimal purchasing prices through deep analysis of commercial offers from domestic and foreign Suppliers;
  • Create, manage and oversee the Department's budget assortment and procurement;
  • Regular monitoring of market prices;
  • Controlling timely placement of orders;
  • BlueFox pricing;
  • Observe and ensure the purchase volumes;
  • In the field of organization and management of procurement (buying):

- Search for suppliers (local and imports), focusing on the quality of products offered, price, delivery time and favorable conditions of supply;

- Develop relationships with suppliers and analyzes the performance of their and financial capacity;

- Negotiate with suppliers to place orders and approval of terms and conditions of supply;

- Organize and supervises the conduct of tenders;

- Control plan supplies

  • In the expansion and renewal of assortment:

- Shape assortment strategy

- Develop the concept of catalogs

- Control the analysis and calculation of the marginal profitability of commodity supply, determines the pricing of products in catalogs.

- Provide short-term and long-term planning of sales

  • In the field in sales forecasting and procurement planning:

- Organization and control of forecasts of sales in the marketing of the shares

- Control plan for the supply of goods on the basis of the agreed sales targets

- Controls the current demand for the marketing activities of the company

- Controls and optimizes the trade balances

  • Interacts with other departments of the Department Company (Creative, Marketing, Operations, CRM) to fulfill business targets
  • Delivers results within deadlines and targets set up.
  • Provides regular reporting on the entrusted area.

 

KEY SKILL & KNOWLEDGE

  • Energetic individual between 35 – 42 years’ old
  • University degree;
  • Experience in assortment and procurement min 6 years, retail is preferable;
  • Strong experience in forecasting and planning;
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Good command of English (written and spoken);
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel);
  • Commercial awareness, strong negotiation and communication skills;
  • Well organized, motivated & reliable with the ability to plan and meet deadlines;
  • Market economy, entrepreneurship and basic business
  • Principles of Marketing (marketing concept, the basics of marketing management, methods and areas of market research, how to promote products on the market)
  • Methods for studying the demand for products
  • Possess good analytical with strong management, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Able to communicate and collaborate in international and cross-functional teams
  • Preferably with experience in mail-order industry
