Head of Marketing




 Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, develops and evaluates marketing, media and acquisition strategy to stimulate mail-order sales on the local market based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors and in accordance with business targets;
  • Analyses, adapts and implements existing direct marketing activities on the local market;
  • Formulates, organizes and controls marketing activities according to business plan (print and non-print adverting materials, Direct Marketing mailings, catalogues, brochures, press-releases, price-lists etc. ;  
  • Develops pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction;
  • Analyze sales activities and trends; Monitor consumer trends; Estimate product demand;
  • Uses sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends;
  • Consults with product development personnel on product specifications such as design, color, and packaging;
  • Develop Active Database by various acquisition activities: Media Buying (Press/TV/SMS/Others), Partner’s cooperation, Co-Branding, New Channel’s Development;
  • Establishes strong relationship with Key Media , Mail Order and Other Partners, achieve the best possible discounts, initiate additional bonuses, free publications, better placements, propose new type of activities (co-branding, cross activities) with measurable result;
  • Provides the budgeted number of new coupons for every Business Unit, staying within budgeted average coupons cost and keeping existing customers’ profile;
  • Secures regular and effective Media Planning, keeping the deadlines, monitoring competitor’s activities, providing Business Units with required data for final decision making;
  • Analyses results of media activities and proposes improvements;
  • Identify short term and long term opportunities. Initiate New Channels development, looking for new partners, regularly coming to BUs Heads and CEO with new proposals. Aggressively pursues new ways to contribute the company development;
  • Interacts with other departments of the Department Company (Marketing, Assortment, Operations, CRM) to fulfill business targets;
  • Proves with legal the juridical aspect of marketing concepts and materials;
  • Participates with marketing and media department in implementation of corporate media strategy;
  • Plans and controls of budget and costs of creative department;
  • Delivers results within deadlines and targets set up;
  • Prepares analysis and reporting to higher management;
  • Provides expenses reports to accounting on the operational creative activities.

Key Requirements to the candidate:

  • Higher professional education in business administration or marketing
  • B2C Marketing or Direct Marketing experience minimum 3 years (Mail-order industry is a great plus)
  • Digital Marketing experiences
  • Knowledge of media market and strong network with media providers
  • English, good command (oral and written)

Marketing Director should know:

  • principles of Direct Marketing and Media activities and how to promote products on the market;
  • product knowledge of market goods;
  • methods for studying the demand for products;
  • knowledge of direct marketing techniques
  • ethics of consumer and business communication;
  • technique making presentations;
  • Methods of processing information using modern means of communication and communication, computer.
